Airport Police is looking for a Management Analyst to lead!

What You’ll Do:

Supervise and work with a small group of employees involved in the purchasing, receiving, storing, distributing and accounting of materials, supplies, parts, tools, equipment, etc. Prepare and review written requests for materials, supplies and tools needed to maintain necessary stock levels. Apply sound supervisory principles and techniques in building and maintaining an effective workforce.

Minimum Requirements:

1. One year of full-time paid professional experience in a class which is at least at the level of Management Assistant; or

2. Two years full-time paid experience as a Management Aide for the City of Los Angeles. A bachelor's degree from a recognized four-year college or university may substitute for one year of full-time paid experience as a Management Aide; or

3. One year of full-time paid experience with the City of Los Angeles as a Chief Clerk or in a clerical class at that level.

Emergency Appointment Information:

Please note that an emergency appointment is only temporary. It expires upon the establishment of a new eligible list or after one year, whichever comes first. Upon completion of the emergency appointment, the incumbent will return to the civil service class he/she previously held. A permanent appointment may be made once the civil service examination is given and an eligible list is established for Management Analyst.

Emergency Appointment

An emergency appointment is not a regular appointment. It is a temporary appointment which does not require that you successfully compete in the Civil Service examination process. The appointment may not exceed one year and must be terminated immediately when a regular appointment can be made from an eligible list. No emergency appointment can exceed one year. (City Charter Section 1013).
