The City of Irvine seeks collaborative and customer service oriented individuals to take on the role of Library Assistant Iin the development of Irvine’s new public library system.
This current vacancy is for a Children's Services Library Assistant.

The Children's Services Library Assistant position at University Park Libraries contributes to library operations through a variety of duties, including planning and presenting storytimes for children and families, assisting library customers in the use of library services and technology, providing basic information and research assistance to the public, assisting with development and maintenance of the children's materials collection, assisting with general library programming and other library-related activities with a focus on programs and activities for children and families, and participating in community and outreach events.

Full-time Salary Range:

Library Assistant I - $58,656.00 - $92,289.60 Annually

Schedule for University Park Library: Sunday-Wednesday/Thursday with a mixture of morning and evening shifts.
