Join our team of dedicated professionals who are committed to facilitating change in clients who are housed in a correctional facility. The Social Worker III-Correctional Re-Entry Coordinator position requires a higher degree of skill in navigating the social work and evaluation of the client's needs while they are incarcerated and after their release. You will have the opportunity to be assigned to a specialized function that requires a high degree of perception, such as a special problem caseload, Home Team, Probation, Behavioral Health, HHSA, Community Resources, Emergency Response, or Medi-Cal services.

This position is responsible for difficult assignments requiring greater skill and depth of job knowledge in assessing problem situations and formulating plans for services. Qualified applicants will have knowledge of current problems and methodology in the field of public social services. This position further requires initiative, determination, detailed case management skills, and a passion to see justice-involved individuals receive the services they need to remain healthy, reformed, and successful with the end goal of reducing recidivism.

Education and Experience Required

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Gerontology, or related field and twelve (12) months of social work case management experience comparable to Nevada County's classification of Social Worker II.
OR
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Clinical Psychology, or Gerontology or related field.

Licenses and Certificates
Possession of a valid California driver's license within 30 days of hire.
