Description

Overview

The Operations Agent performs operating duties assigned to landside operations, which encompasses parking lots, terminal curbside, International Drive, Quick Turn Around (QTA) facility, and terminal building. Duties include, but are not limited to, customer interactions in parking lot, curbside, and terminal, completing activity reports for management, troubleshooting parking lot management equipment, inventorying and ordering materials and supplies, and communicating/documenting operational issues. This position will also monitor curbside activity during peak periods, report unattended vehicles, issue work orders in terminal, curbside, parking lots, and Quick Turnaround Facility (QTA), and provide exemplary customer service to passengers and community members.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily operation of parking operations, including but not limited to, customer service, completion of reports and documentation, communication, and coordination with management staff

• Monitor parking lots for safety, security, and customer service issues

• Creates work orders for issues and reports emergent conditions

• Conduct parking lot inspections and documents appropriately

• Monitors all equipment for performance and schedules preventative maintenance as needed

• Constantly monitors terminal curbside and responds to reported issues

• Responds to and reports unattended vehicles curbside

• Issues Public Address announcements and assists with ticketing unattended vehicles

• Instructs customers to use short term parking for period of free parking

• Controls traffic during peak periods

• Ensures curbside safety, security, and efficiency

• Provides exceptional customer service to those passengers inside the terminal

• Answers all questions and directs them to services or agencies

• Responds to passenger complaints and initiates response

• Conducts terminal inspections and issues work orders for repair of broken or out of service equipment

• Verifies complete and accurate documentation of terminal actions

• Responds to public area door alarms when dispatched remotely from software system

• Responds to requests to use commercial lane curbside and monitor commercial ground vehicle operations

• Handle Landside Duty Cell Phone and have a basic understanding of FAR Part 139, emergency response, and Airport operation duties

• Conduct daily inspection of QTA facility

• Maintain working relationships with tenant managers

• Inspect and respond to issues related to facility, including minor custodial issues, and generating work orders

• Will learn the FAR Part 139 regulations to cross train with operations specialists to allow for growth within the department

• May be asked to perform other duties as assigned

Position Type and Typical Hours of Work

• Non-Exempt - Full-Time• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is a schedule requirement

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED

• Two (2) years of related job experience

Licenses and Certifications

Required

• A valid driver's license is required; successful out-of-state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire

Required Within 12 Months of Hire

• Completion of NIMS 100, 200, 700 & 800

Basis of Rating

A recruitment consultant will evaluate all applications against the posted qualifications. The city may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.
