RETENTION SPECIALIST

MSC Range 4 ; Full-time/Exempt; 40 hours per week; 11 months per year with July off

Position is contingent on grant funding. Grant for Rising Scholars is funded through June 2028, and the Youth Justice grant runs through December 2028.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

The Retention Specialist for Rising Scholars and the Youth Justice Programs (50% each) works directly with justice-impacted, system-impacted, and formerly incarcerated students, helping them stay enrolled, persist, and achieve their educational goals. Ideal candidates will be passionate about student success, equity, and re-entry support and enjoy direct interaction with students and collaborative, service-driven work. This position will:



Work Schedule

The work schedule is Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Over the summer the schedule changes to Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with Friday off. As an exempt position, hours may vary based on departmental needs, for example occasional evening hours for outreach or events.
