OVERVIEW

This is a rare opportunity to step into a highly specialized and impactful office support role at the heart of civil code enforcement. As an advanced Office Specialist supporting the Department of Community Development and the Kitsap Nuisance Abatement TEAM (KNAT), you will play a critical role in ensuring that enforcement actions are accurate, timely, lawful, and effective. Your work directly supports the integrity of the legal enforcement process and contributes to the safety, livability, and regulatory compliance of unincorporated Kitsap County.

Work hours for this position are 16 hours a week. Working days/hours will be determined at time of hire.

Holidays
11 paid holidays and 2 additional floating holiday per year, 1 additional floating holiday after 10 years of service.

Vacation Leave
This position is credited with 19.2 hours of annual leave upon hire and will be begin accruing at the rate of 3.2 hours per month starting on their 7th month of employment. Employees may carry over 360 hours from one calendar year to the next. Annual leave accrual will increase upon tenure, as follows:
Upon completion of 2 years: 4 hours per month
Upon completion of 5 years: 5.33 hours per month
Upon completion of 10 years: 6.67 hours per month

Sick Leave

This position will be credited with 19.2 hours of sick leave upon hire and will begin accruing at the rate of 3.2 hours per month starting on their 7th month of employment. Employees may carry over 1200 hours from one calendar year to the next.

Current County Employees
If you are transferring or promoting into this position you are responsible for reviewing these benefit changes; prior to accepting a position. In addition, it is your responsibility to notify the Auditor's Payroll Division of a change in union status.

Union Membership
