A Sr. Capital Projects Officer position is available with the City of Fort Worth Transportation and Public Works (TPW) Department. The Capital Delivery Division is seeking a highly qualified professional to serve in this key leadership role. The position is responsible for building leaders and working across the organization to drive innovation and develop best practices and standards for capital delivery.

The successful candidate will lead the Construction Services team, providing strategic oversight of construction management, public infrastructure inspection, surveying of public right-of-way and City-owned land and easements, infrastructure warranty work, materials testing, and overall project delivery. The Construction Inspection section includes 85 employees (full-time and contractors) who deliver over $766 million annually in capital improvement infrastructure projects. The projects include Developer funded Community Facilities Agreement (CFAs) as well as City capital initiatives supporting Transportation & Public Works, Property Management, Water Utility, Park and Recreation, and Aviation departments. The section is also responsible for citywide inspections of pavement markings, traffic signals, and streetlight installations, as well as water and wastewater capital projects. As a member of the Department's Management Team, this position reports to the Capital Delivery Assistant Director and plays a vital role in guiding and shaping the City's public works program.
