Job Location: Columbia District Office (900 W. Nifong Blvd, Ste 210) or Kirksville District Office (1612 N. Osteopathy, Ste. B)

A snapshot of daily activities:
- Employer Engagement: Build relationships that lead to employment opportunities for our candidates.
- Community Partnership: Creating and accessing opportunities utilizing partnerships and sharing of resources.
- Agency Staff Support: Vetting opportunities such as employment, apprenticeship, on-the-job-training (OJT), and other training options to share with staff and candidates.
- Serves as a consultant to businesses to promote and develop business relationships that result in employment of people with disabilities.
- Market opportunities such as on-the-job training, internships, and apprenticeships to internal staff and businesses.
- Promote and support collaborative funding and partnership between VR and Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) partners.
- Attend and represent VR in regional workforce meetings, conferences, and events with the goal of expanding business services.
- Connect VR candidates with employment opportunities.
- Assist with planning, organizing, and implementing events that support an inclusive workforce. Joining boards and/or planning committees is encouraged.
- Market and educate staff on labor market trends.
- Develop presentations and present to educate staff, candidates, and businesses on inclusive hiring practices and various other topics.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
4 years’ experience in the field of marketing, sales, business engagement, or workforce development.
OR
Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to Business, Business Administration, Business Management, Marketing, Public Administration or Human Services. Degrees in other fields will be considered with experience in environments such as job development and or job placement.
Required knowledge, skills and abilities1.
Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, both in person or in writing.

Ability to interact professionally.

Ability to plan, organize and execute work effectively.
4.
Travel is required with occasional overnight stays.
