Job Location: This position will be remote or in Jefferson City, MO.Why you’ll love this position:
As a Senior Public Health Program Specialist with the Office of Dental Health, you will directly impact oral health across Missouri. You will help shape programs that support prevention, access to care, and drive innovative oral health initiatives statewide. You will work closely with schools, providers, community partners, and state and federal agencies to strengthen Missouri's dental public health system. You will play a key role in assisting the Program Manager with grant activities, program evaluation, and data efforts to enhance services for Missourians. The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.
- Support grant coordination, reporting, monitoring, and compliance activities.
- Plan and implement statewide oral health initiatives and collect and analyze program data to help guide decisions.
- Use subject matter expertise to develop and deliver trainings, presentations, and technical assistance to diverse audiences.
- Prepare program materials, including guidance documents, procedures, stakeholder communications, and educational resources.
- Coordinate and collaborate with schools, providers, and community partners, specifically for school-based oral health programs.
- Assist with program evaluation and track performance outcomes.
- Provide support and lead trainings, meetings, and grant-funded projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in public health, health education, dental hygiene, or a related field (Substitutions may be allowed) and 3-5 years experience in public health or program planning, preferably in oral or dental public health.
- Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) licensure preferred.
- Knowledge of public health principles, dental health programs, and program evaluation methods.
experience with grant management, data collection, and reporting. - Ability to work collaboratively with schools, community partners, and public health professionals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
