CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Background: Incumbents must successfully complete a background check prior to appointment.
Physical: Incumbents must be physically able to lift fifty (50) pounds, stand, bend, squat, kneel, twist, turn, climb ladders, and stoop. Employees work outside continuously and are exposed to electricity, chemicals, heat, oil, odors, dust, gas, and noise.
Tools: Incumbents must have their own hand tools. An annual tool allowance of $300 is provided on July 1.
Shift: Incumbents may be required to work day, evenings, or night shifts, to meet departmental needs, as required by the Department.
License: Must possess a valid California Class C driver license at time of hire. Based on assignment, incumbent must obtain and maintain a Class B drivers license within six (6) month of hire to meet probationary standards.
Minimum RequirementsExperience: Two (2) years of full-time equivalent experience (within the last 5 years) in the operation, repair, and maintenance of vehicle fueling facilities.
Desired QualificationsLead worker experience and experience in all phases of vehicle fueling facilities maintenance and repair are highly desirable. Experience working in a Fleet Management Information System (FMIS) is desirable.
