Position DescriptionThis position produces two dimensional ultrasonic recordings of internal organs for use by Physician in diagnosis of disease and study of malfunction of organs. Work is performed under usual clinic and office conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Requires a high degree of contact with patients and physicians.
Major/Essential Functions- Responsible for preparing patients for procedures and completion of safe, high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure.
- Travel within area to designated Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) sites, to ensure Access to Care is met.
- Processing and maintenance of images, medical records, and other reports.
- Use and maintenance of equipment.
- The Ultrasound Technician will collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic information for patient care.

Required QualificationsEducation: A minimum of an Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in a medical or related field. License/Certification: Eligible for Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) registry.
