ResponsibilitiesWhat you'll be doing:
- Exercising direct supervision over assigned work groups.
- Assigning, directing, and supervising activities of assigned staff, ensuring adherence to established policies, procedures, and standards.
- Administering or making recommendations for routine personnel matters, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, assigning work, scheduling work hours, granting leave, appraising performance, disciplining, and submitting required records and reports.
- Collaborating with the Ranch Director on developing and implementing strategic plans to promote The Ranch as a self-sustaining campus.
- Serving as a primary point of contact for high-profile stakeholders, sponsors, and community partners to foster relationships and promote events.
- Overseeing daily campus operations, including scheduling, logistics, and guest services.
- Working closely with internal and external teams to plan and execute events, ensuring a high-quality experience for all attendees.
- Identifying opportunities to attract and host high-profile events by leveraging relationships with local businesses, tourism agencies, and entertainment groups.
- Supporting marketing and promotional efforts to expand The Ranch's client base and sponsorship opportunities.
- Developing and recommending policies to enhance operational efficiency and revenue generation.
- Assisting the Ranch Director in exploring new business ventures and partnerships.
- Preparing and managing budgets related to events, marketing, and community programs.
- Collaborating on financial planning to align resources with organizational goals and community needs.

What we're looking for:
- Knowledge in supervisory principles, procedures, and methods, including selection, training, discipline, and evaluation.
- Proven leadership and management skills.
- Ability to assess operating conditions, analyze problems, and implement effective solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of entertainment event marketing, promotion, contracting, and industry trends.
- Strong understanding of fairgrounds and entertainment complex operations, including event administration for fairs, rodeos, equestrian shows, minor league hockey, concerts, trade shows, conventions, and expositions.
- Experience in facility marketing and sales, ticketing procedures, security, crowd control, food and beverage operations, event coordination, cost control, and accounting.
- Background in construction management.
- Knowledge in budget development and financial management procedures.

- Seven (7) years of experience in event management, business development, or a directly related field or in the performance of similar duties and responsibilities required.
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent education, from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field required.
- Five (5) years of experience in a management/supervisory position required.
- Possession of a valid Driver's License by the date of hire required.
