ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT, DESIGN TECHNOLOGY GROUP, JOINT ADMINISTRATION OFFICE, WHITTIER

Elevate your career as a Design Technology Specialist with the Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts, where you’ll play a critical role in advancing engineering and design technology for vital public infrastructure projects. In this dynamic role, you will design, develop, and maintain multi-user CAD/BIM systems, customize software to meet engineering needs, and ensure seamless interoperability across various platforms. As a key technical expert, you will provide hands-on support to system users, troubleshoot software issues, and manage system upgrades to enhance efficiency and productivity. Your expertise will drive innovation by maintaining as-built databases, configuring workstations, and developing high-quality presentation graphics for engineers and management. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to mentor and train users while acting as a crucial liaison between system users and the Information Technology Department. RETIREMENT



COMPENSATION

Full-time Hourly Employees may be granted a 5.5% salary step increase after working 1,000 hours with a performance evaluation rating of "meets expectations" or higher. Additional step increases may be granted if the employee is rated as "meets expectations" or higher after each additional 2,000 hours of work until they reach the equivalent of the top step of the salary range for their classification. Hourly Employees may apply for a “promotional” monthly status job in a different classification after 12 months of service, and may be converted in-place to monthly status on the first of the month following 18 months of full-time Districts service.
