This position plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of county facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for employees and the public. If you take pride in your work and enjoy hands-on tasks, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
The typical schedule for this position is full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
ResponsibilitiesWhat you'll be doing:
- Performing routine cleaning and maintenance of county buildings, including offices, restrooms, and common areas.
- Assisting with the setup and teardown of furniture and equipment for meetings, events, and special functions.
- Monitoring and restocking cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure proper inventory levels.
- Responding to maintenance requests and addressing facility-related concerns in a timely manner.
- Assisting with snow removal and exterior upkeep to maintain safe and accessible walkways.
- Collaborating with team members and other county departments to support facility operations.

What we're looking for:
- Ability to follow cleaning and maintenance procedures thoroughly to ensure a safe and well-maintained environment.
- A dependable team player who takes pride in their work and completes tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Capable of performing manual labor, including lifting up to [X] pounds, standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Knowledge of general facility upkeep, including minor repairs, equipment operation, and troubleshooting common maintenance issues.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact with coworkers, county employees, and the public in a professional manner.
- Willingness to take on new tasks, assist in emergency maintenance situations, and work flexible hours as needed.

- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Two (2) years of experience in a directly related field or in the performance of similar duties and responsibilities required.
- Possession of a valid Driver's License by date of hire required.
