Position Description
Contributes to the university's mission through teaching, research and service, some variation by academic unit.

Major/Essential Functions
The Department of Family Medicine provides high quality health care and educational experiences. Working as a team of healthcare providers and educators, we advance a unique model of patient care characterized by Comprehensive and integrated care of the whole person over time, tailored to the individual's values and choices; Care of all ages, socio-economic statuses, ethnicities, health statuses, and genders; Wellness and prevention; and Relationships and collaborations based on active and open communication and trust.
Major/Essential Functions

• Clinical preceptorship of resident physicians
• Participation in resident and student education in ambulatory setting
• Participation in call schedule, approximately 8 days/month

Occasional Duties


Required Qualifications
Academic degree as defined by the academic unit and as appropriate for the position held. Demonstrated record of effectiveness as a teacher, a record of peer reviewed publication and/or peer-reviewed creative activity which has contributed to the discipline or field of study, to the candidate's intellectual and artistic development, and to the quality of the academic enterprise; a record of professional service appropriate to the discipline; promise of growth in teaching and research or artistic and creative activityRequired Qualifications:

• MD/DO
• Completion of a Family Medicine Residency
• Board Certification in Family Medicine
