Job Summary: This position performs a variety of clerical and technical work in the daily operations of the Municipal Court. Work is in partnership with other employees, departments, outside agencies and the public in delivering effective and informative services. Ability to speak Spanish preferred. Must be able to pass a background check to be eligible for CCIC/NCIC access.
The salary range for this position is
$20.67- $27.90 per hour with a hiring range of
$20.67 - $24.29, depending on qualifications and experience.

Municipal Court is looking for an outgoing individual who has a passion for providing excellent customer service. Do you thrive in a fast paced, people-oriented environment? Essential Functions: - Prepare dockets and files for court sessions ensuring accuracy with file documentation; update cases in the case management system during court sessions; update, finalize and file cases after court sessions.
- Perform a variety of courtroom related tasks such as operating the digital recording system to create required audio recordings; facilitation of video hearings and assistance to the Municipal Judge while on the bench.
- Responsible to process, receipt, deposit and complete accounting for revenue.
- Balance cash drawer, prepare daily cash end of day reports and daily deposits.
- Process incoming citations and documents filed with the court related to traffic, parking and municipal code charges.
- Compile and prepare various legal documents including warrants, orders and hearing notices.
- Provide excellent customer service.
Other Job Functions: - Provide clerical and administrative support.
- Obtain driving and criminal records from the DMV and CBI.
- Provide court or case information to defendants, attorneys, police department and the public pursuant to open records and confidentiality requirements.
- Schedule arraignments, pretrial conferences, trials and hearings.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Education: - High School graduate or GED required.
Experience: - 2 years administrative legal/office experience required.
- Experience working on a computerized records system including data input and maintenance required. preferred.
- Microsoft work and record keeping.

- Learn to understand the organization and operation of the Court and of outside agencies as necessary to assume assigned responsibilities

- Use efficient learning techniques to acquire and apply new knowledge and skills, using training, feedback or other opportunities for self-learning and development

Physical Demands and Working Conditions: - Frequent m inimal physical effort typically found in clerical work. Primarily sedentary, may occasionally lift and carry light objects. Walking and/or standing as needed and minimal.
- Frequent e xposure to routine office noise and equipment.
- Occasional e xposure to hazards typically found in general office environments where there is rarely to no exposure to injury or accident.
