Pay Range: $65,563 - $85,232 annual compensation

Workdays & Hours: Monday - Friday 7am - 4pm; Some evening/weekend work required.

A Fleet Supervisor job is available with the City of Fort Worth Property Management, Fleet Division. The Fleet Supervisor will supervise, assign, review and participate in the work of mechanics in the North Service Center for the repair and maintenance of city equipment and vehicles to coordinating asset logistics and decommission.
Minimum Qualifications: - HS Diploma/GED supplemented by specialized training in automotive/mechanical repair or a related field
- Four (4) years of responsible experience in heavy equipment/mechanical repair
- Two years of administrative and/or lead supervisory experience.
- Must pass Drug Screen and Physical
- Valid Texas driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications: - Knowledge of operations, services and activities of an equipment services shop.
- Methods and techniques of diagnosing and maintenance of Heavy equipment and vehicles.
- Mechanical repair procedures for a variety of complex equipment and vehicle systems.
- Complex systems and components of equipment and vehicles.
- Occupational hazards and safety precautions of equipment and vehicle services.
- Hand tools and equipment associated with the diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment and vehicles.
- Principles of supervision, training and performance evaluation.
- Ownership in PMD - Fleet Vision of Customer Experience, Accountability, Responsiveness and Empathic to every person and situation
The Fleet Supervisor job responsibilities include: - Supervises staff, which includes prioritizing and assigning work.
- Responsible for monitoring and adapting the performance of all subordinates assigned and advises management.
- Responsible for providing guidance on how to resolve routine and non-routine operating issues
- Respond to emergency situations as they arise
- Managing repair and preventative maintenance of vehicles and City equipment at assigned Service Centers.
- Addressing technical problems and determining proper solutions.
- Provide consistent, exceptional customer service skills
- Communication, problem-solving and time management.
- Providing service and customer support.
Working Conditions Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically require touching, talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, walking, repetitive motions, climbing, balancing, pushing, pulling and lifting; depending on assignment. Incumbents may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, odors, dusts, poor ventilation, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting and intense noises.
Physical Demands Medium work - Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly having to move objects
