Job Location: This position is domiciled at the Central Missouri Regional Office 900 W. Nifong Blvd., Suite 200 Columbia, MO 65202.
The Accounts Assistant is responsible for helping to meet the financial needs of individuals with Developmental Disabilities who are receiving residential services. This position enters approved services into CIMOR system to manage consumer bank accounts and pay budgeted expenses along with any additional approved financial requests for funds from consumer benefit accounts.
- Responsible for entering consumer budget authorizations into CIMOR.
- Timely processing of invoice payments and funds requests from consumer’s benefit account.
- Accurately update Consumer Banking disbursements to include benefit or budget changes.
- Complete Residential Habilitation payments monthly.
- E-File consumer financial records as needed.
- Participate in monthly Regional Office staff meetings
- Attend and pass annual assigned trainings.
1 - 3 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
Knowledge, skills & abilitiesKnowledge of accounting procedures and office methods and practices. Ability to meet deadlines. Capable of reviewing financial documents for accuracy with attention to detail. Ability to maintain automated and manual financial records. Knowledge of basic research methods related to financial transactions and basic math calculations. Ability to identify and resolve transactional issues. Adherence to internal as well as Federal guidelines and regulations.
