THE POSITION

The Town of Prescott Valley is seeking the next Police Lieutenant to positively influence and successfully deliver the Town and Police Department's Mission, Values, and Goals through critical analysis. The successful candidate will demonstrate a positive and cohesive approach to leadership, a strong work ethic and ability to work through personnel challenges, a focus on employee resilience and health, a demonstrated ability to understand and implement incident command, department policy, and law enforcement tactics. Compensation:

The Town's complete compensation package includes salary, benefits, and a high-performance culture. The Town package includes a no-cost to individual health insurance plan, participation in the state retirement system, optional 457 deferred compensation with town match up to 6%, vacation, holidays, and additional comprehensive benefits.

The expected hiring range is $107,411 - $120,000

The full salary range is $107,411 - $150,384

Typical Qualification

Requirements:

Formal Education/Knowledge: Work requires knowledge in a general professional or technical field. Knowledge is normally acquired through two years of college resulting in an Associate's degree* or equivalent (minimum 60 credit hours). Bachelor's degree preferred.

*A Bachelor's degree will be a minimum requirement beginning on 7/1/2026

Experience: Minimum ofthree (3) years' experience at the range of sergeant or above.
