Legal Assistant - General Counsel’s Office/Bankruptcy
Department of Revenue
Location: Truman Building - 301 W. High St. Jefferson City, MO
Annual Salary: $41,280.24

The Bankruptcy unit is looking for an independent, detail-oriented person to join our staff. This is a non-supervisory position that will research, identify and code tax delinquencies on taxpayer accounts. If you like working in a fast-paced unit with a different scenario each day, this is the job for you!
DUTIES PERFORMED:
Research and perform account maintenance on business and individual tax database
Open and monitor bankruptcy case files
Process tax returns and affidavits received from taxpayers and attorneys
Prepare and electronically file legal documents with Bankruptcy courts
Conduct discharge analysis and maintenance on taxpayer accounts
Management of substantial case load

QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in office setting, preferably a legal setting

Experience with Revenue Premier (business tax or individual tax) preferred.
Possession of a high school diploma or high school equivalency
