Full-time position available with the Health Department, Aim4Peace Division located at 2400 Troost Ave
Salary Range: $22.61-$34.48/hour
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. *Hours may vary due to workload

Responsibilities
- Reports to the Aim4Peace Program Manager.
- Supports the Aim4Peace Program's logistical operations, tracking community violence data, and aiding community outreach efforts.
- Arranges transportation for staff and guests and ensure program vehicles are well-maintained and fueled at all times.
- Tracks the frequency, location, and manner of community violence in neighborhoods where the Aim4Peace Program operates.
- Helps to plan and execute community events and assist in door-to-door canvassing when appropriate.
- Works non-traditional days/hours which will vary week to week, including some evening and weekend hours.
- Flexible and able to work a possible on-call and a rotating schedule.
- Works collaboratively with the Aim4Peace team to plan and organize community events.
- Tracks occurrences of community violence and carefully documents the frequency, location, and manner of violence.
- Coordinates the transportation of staff and guests, and ensures vehicles are well maintained and fueled at all times.
- Recruits partners through door-to-door canvasing, personal visits, social service agency outreach, house meetings, and phoning.
- Builds relationships between the Aim4Peace Program and various community organizations, neighborhood associations, and governmental agencies.
- Promotes the Aim4Peace Program's violence prevention efforts, and violence prevention strategies more broadly.
- Delivers speeches about community violence prevention to interested community groups.
- Performs related duties as required.
Qualifications
REQUIRES an accredited Bachelor's degree; OR a High School Diploma and 4 years of experience in private, public, or community healthcare, community sanitation, health inspections, health education, data analysis, or related healthcare fields. Must pass a preemployment drug screen and post offer physical examination as prescribed by the City.

Positions requiring a high school diploma/GED certificate must be obtained from a school/program accredited by the Department of Education and recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education.
The minimum education requirement for positions that allow for experience equivalency for an accredited degree is a high school diploma. Unless otherwise specified, an accredited degree must be obtained from a college or university listed with the U.S. Department of Education and recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education.
For positions with a salary grade of EX6 or higher that require an accredited degree, qualifying professional experience must be obtained AFTER the accredited degree is obtained.
Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal history/background check is required for all positions. Some positions require a post offer drug screen and/or physical.
If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
