Job Summary

The Athletics Certification Analyst serves as the primary contact and expert for NCAA certification and has primary responsibility for evaluation of all NCAA academic certification requirements for Cal Poly’s approximately 650-700 student athletes. This position provides program leadership, analysis, and planning for all facets of the athletics evaluation and certification process.

The Office of the Registrar currently operates on a hybrid schedule: team members who are past their probationary period work three days per week in the office and telecommute two days per week.

Department Summary

Within the Strategic Enrollment Management Division, the Office of the Registrar’s mission is to provide direct support services to students, the entire campus community, alumni, and the public. The Registrar's Office is responsible for support to and oversight of: academic scheduling and curriculum; enrollment and registration; grading (initial collection, grade changes, credit/no credit); transcripts and diplomas; verification of enrollment; certification and compliance of NCAA athletes; statements of degree credit, transfer credit evaluations, major changes, and degree completion, including the awarding of degrees; multiple tools to support registration and tracking of degree progress; integrity, maintenance, and reporting of all aspects of the student record; the development and publication of articulation agreements; test credits; functional administration of the university's master calendar system; and collaboration with all relevant campus constituents in furtherance of strategic university and system-wide goals in the arena of enrollment management and progress-to-degree.

Anticipated Hiring Range: $60,000 - $70,000 Per Year

Classification Range: $55,176 - $99,816 Per Year
