Missouri Division of Finance Job Opportunity Assistant Information Technology Examiner Jefferson City, Missouri Starting salary: $60,025.20 Closing date: January 24, 2025 The Division of Finance is responsible for the chartering, licensing, and oversight of financial institutions in the State of Missouri. This is an entry-level position with a structured and defined career ladder.
Responsibilities: • Conduct examinations of state regulated financial institutions’ IT and cybersecurity management departments. Assess IT audit quality and the soundness of policies, procedures, and practices of institution management and staff.
• Assist in the development and recommendation of corrective action plans to financial institution management to remedy any weaknesses or deficiencies discovered within IT department operations, policies, practices, cybersecurity management, or other related areas subject to regulation.
• Prepare and submit IT examination reports to the IT Supervisor and Division Office.
• Extensive overnight travel may be required.
• Perform other related work as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Introductory knowledge of IT and cybersecurity principles and practices.
• Introductory knowledge of software required for IT examination processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools such as Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Ability to effectively analyze complex IT operations of a financial institution and report findings.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other examiners, division employees, and industry partners.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, and prepare concise written reports.
• Ability to demonstrate regular and predictable attendance.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.
OR
An associate degree in business, computer science, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university
and two years of relevant IT experience.
