Description
Job Location: This position will be located at 205 Jefferson St., Jefferson City, MO 65101.
Why you’ll love this position: The Child Care Subsidy Program increases children's access to early learning by assisting eligible parents/guardians with payments for child care in Missouri. The purpose of this program is to not only ensure children have access to early childhood programs, but also to help families with the cost of child care so they are able to focus on finding and holding steady jobs and/or are able to attend school and training programs.
- Review and process child care provider subsidy agreement applications.
- Review and process child care provider payments and payment resolutions.
- Ensure contracted child providers meet health and safety requirements per state and federal regulations.
- Provide customer service through incoming call and emails from child care providers and state agency case workers concerning subsidy agreement applications and payments.
- Maintain familiarity with DESE subsidy agreement policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with stakeholders and state agencies.
- Draft communications to providers regarding non-compliance and claims.
- Assist in monitoring the DESE child care email accounts and with other administrative duties as needed.
- Assist with special projects (supporting child care Subsidy section teams and activities).
- Serve as backup for the Program Specialist in the child care Subsidy Unit as needed.
- Demonstrate regular, reliable, and engaged attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: - Graduation from high school or High School Equivalency
- Two or more years of relevant experience.
