POSITION OVERVIEW :

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide support for the Aviation Enterprise System Support Team. Implement and integrate highly complex business systems including the design and architecture of system interfaces, configuration management, documentation, administration, monitoring, troubleshooting and maintain detailed plans for systems disaster recovery and testing. Plan and forecast budget needs for new hardware and software including the retirement of existing systems. Make independent decisions with significant impact for procurement of technical solutions in their focus area. Test, install and/or upgrade, and implement new software and/or hardware releases. Develop and/or implement and ensure the compliance of IT policies, standards and procedures.

ASSESSMENT :

A skills assessment will be required for this position.

TRAVEL :

If you are selected for this position, and meet the Driver Safety Standards in the City of Austin Driver Safety Program, you may drive when necessary to multiple locations as part of your regular job duties. Otherwise, you are responsible for getting to and from these locations.

This position is categorized as an Essential Personnel. Essential personnel are required to come to work during emergencies or bad weather at the airport if they are scheduled to work and in some cases when they are not scheduled.

Top candidate will be subject to a minimum 10 year criminal background check and security threat assessment.

Must have the ability to read, write, and fluently speak in English.

WORK HOURS :

Shift may change according to departmental needs. Work hours may include after hours, holidays, and weekend work

Pay Range
$39.49 - $51.34

Core Hours:
Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
3 days on-site with 2 remote days (Telework) after 90 days of employment.
Hours may change depending on departmental needs.

Develops the vision, strategy, conceptual and logical designs, roadmaps, and other architectural deliverables for the domain area (e.g., business, data, solutions, infrastructure, etc.) Defines the principles that guide technology decisions for the enterprise in their domain. Designs the implementation of a technical architecture based on business requirements and IT strategies, as well as rectify gaps and pain points within the current state. Works on high-level projects, ensuring processes align with the domain focused architectural strategy and business strategy Guides project team members in the implementation of the architecture Serves as the deepest technology expert in their respective domains and as such, are involved in or lead technology strategy, migration, integration and evolution of the technical infrastructure Collaborates closely with other architects and engineers to ensure alignment of domain architectures and activities with the broader enterprise architecture and strategy Leads and contributes to the domain technical and business discussions relative to future architecture direction. Analyzes the current technology environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement. Leads the evaluation and selection of technology and products, as well as the design of standard configurations for given domain. Leads and facilitates the domain’s architecture governance process based on Enterprise Architecture’s governance structure.
