Description

Salary Range: $48,955.50 - $81,661.42 annually

General Description and Classification Standards

Provides resources and professional assistance to employees for personal problems and maintains the City’s Public Safety Behavioral Health Wellness Unit (PSBHWU) and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) programs and services database and partnerships for all City departments and divisions under the Public Safety Psychologist and Assistant Director of EAP.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Providing services and consultation with management, labor relations, training and related organizational areas in building ongoing support for BHWU and EAP utilization at every operating level; and providing supportive intervention and direct services to employees at all levels

Supervision Received

Works under very general supervision.

Depending on organization structure, may work independently with responsibility for an assigned function or program.

Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, industrial psychology, sociology or a related field.

8 years of related professional experience in providing professional clinical case management and social work services, wellness, and EAP services to employees or any equivalent combination of education, experience and training which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this job.

Preferred Education & Experience

Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, industrial psychology, sociology or a related field and 3-5 years' of related professional experience in providing professional clinical case management and social work services, wellness, and EAP services to employees in a similar sized government setting is preferred.

Licensures and Certifications

LCSW eligibility preferred.
