Description
Position open until 10/29/2024 Salary Range: $42,020.99 - $52,578.03 annually General Description and Classification Standards Maintains the communications systems used within an assigned department. Duties include, but are not limited to: providing electronic technical service for all radio, telephone, paging and alarm systems and personal computers and peripherals; troubleshooting and conducting a variety of electronic, mechanical and electromechanical tests on electronic systems, subassemblies and parts to ensure unit functions according to specifications or to determine cause of failure; and repairing and maintaining electronic equipment.
Supervision Received Works under very general supervision. May work independently or with other skilled or semi-skilled workers with responsibility for completion of assigned tasks.
Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience- High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- 1 year' experience as a Communications/Electronic Technician required
or
- Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this job.
Preferred Education & ExperienceVocational/technical school diploma in electronics, radio communications or related field and 1-3 years' of experience as a Communications/Electronic Technician preferred.
Licensures and Certifications None required.
