Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The City of Fort Lauderdale, Club 55, is seeking a Line Dancing Instructor
An employee in this class is responsible for the organization and personal leadership of a variety of recreation activities in an indoor recreation setting or facility. As a high energy, customer-focused instructor, you will conduct group line dance classes throughout the week.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Essential functions are the basic job duties that an employee must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Learn line dance routines and instruct participants in urban/hip hop genre of music
Maintain daily attendance log
Report any class or safety concerns to building management and Club 55 director
Must have a flexible schedule

JOB REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
High school or G.E.D.Must be 18 years old or olderMinimum six (6) months experience as a dance instructor in a group settingCandidates must pass a fingerprinting/background screening process prior to employmentMust be CPR and AED certified or willing to obtain and maintain certifications within 3 months of employment In this role, the work will entail active work in a community center setting. While performing duties, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, dance, talk, hear, shout out dance steps, make quick turns in various directions, keep time with music.
This is a part time temporary non-benefited position.
