ABOUT THE POSITIONAs Senior Manager of Information Systems, Enterprise Systems and Applications (ESA) this position will be critical to the technological innovation at Harry Reid International Airport and its General Aviation facilities. Reporting to the Managing Director of Information Technology responsible for the Project Management Office, the successful candidate will advance IT development and operations through specialized teams in three core areas: Geographical Information Systems (GIS), Enterprise Systems, and Application Development. NOTE: This is an NRS exempt status position and any rules or procedures governing the competitive process do not apply. This class provides day-to-day management and facilitates the work of multiple divisions/programs or a centralized department-wide function with a significant scope or complex operation. The incumbent exercises independent judgment and discretion in determining the optimal strategy for resource allocation and the provision of professional services throughout the Department of Aviation. In addition to the provision of management oversight, the work involves such functions as developing and implementing policies and procedures, budgetary development and oversight, and ensuring the overall effectiveness of the assigned areas of responsibility. This class is differentiated from the Managing Director of Aviation in that the latter is responsible for overall management of the division. This class reports to a Managing Director or Senior Director of Aviation.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSBachelor's Degree in Aviation, Business Administration, Public Administration or a related field and five (5) years of full-time related professional experience in an airport or a setting related to the assigned work area; two (2) years of which were at a supervisory level. An equivalent combination of education and closely related management experience may be considered. An advanced degree is preferred. Working Conditions: May be required to flex work hours on occasion and attend meetings outside of normal working hours as needed. Specified positions in this title may work with exposure to potential hazards on the airfield, construction sites or other airport locations.
Licensing and Certification: Must possess a valid Nevada Class C driver's license at time of appointment.
Medical Examination: Employment in specified positions in this title may be contingent upon the results of a pre-employment medical examination.
Drug Testing: Employment is contingent upon the results of a pre-employment drug examination.
Residency Requirement: Permanent employees must maintain a principal place of residency within the boundaries of Clark County and provide proof of compliance with Nevada motor vehicle registration and drivers' license laws within 90 days of employment.
Citizenship: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Please note, Clark County does not provide H1B visa sponsorships or transfers for any employment positions.
Background Check: Employment with the Department of Aviation is contingent upon completion of an education/experience background investigation, a fingerprint-based criminal history record check processed by the FBI, and upon the ability to be granted a security badge as mandated by the Transportation Security Administration. Note: all prospective hires must present two original government issued ID's upon acceptance of job offer. Examples of acceptable ID's include a Passport, Driver's License or DMV issued ID, birth certificate, Social Security card, Voter Registration card, school issued ID with picture, etc.
Customs and Border Protection Security Seal Program: Employment with the Department of Aviation in this job title is contingent upon a ten year employment and five year residency history record check and the ability to present original identity based documentation in order to meet the requirements for a Security Seal.
