Description
ABOUT THE POSITIONThe Clark County Water Reclamation District is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Geographic Information Systems Analyst I/II position. This position will be primarily responsible for:
- Developing and maintaining various sewer collection and wastewater treatment plant GIS datasets.
- Producing accurate maps and other representations to meet customer requirements in a timely manner.
- Performing data research/gathering of various types of data; AutoCAD, GPS, and Tabular data for inclusion in GIS Datasets.
- Performing manual and/or visual checks of preliminary data and final products to ensure quality control of all data entering the system.
- Drawing and inputting new easements based upon given survey legal descriptions.
- Performing field visits to visually locate and/or re-collect data using GPS to resolve differences and improve data accuracy.

Geographic Information Systems Analyst I: $30.32 - $47.03 Hourly Geographic Information Systems Analyst II: $32.74 - $50.81 Hourly This recruitment will establish an Open Competitive Eligibility list to fill current and/or future vacancies that may occur within the next six (6) months or may be extended as needed by Human Resources.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEducation and Experience:
Geographic Information Systems Analyst I - Equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in planning, engineering, computer science or geographic studies or a field related to the work, AND one ( 1) year of full-time experience in working with automated geographic information systems. Experience in digitizing data or working with geographic information system data may be substituted for the education on a year for year basis.
Geographic Information Systems Analyst II - In addition to the above: Three (3) years of full-time professional level experience in developing and implementing automated geographic information systems. Qualifying education and experience must be clearly documented in the "Education" and "Work Experience" sections of the application. Background Investigation: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation. Periodically after employment background investigations may be conducted.
Pre-Employment Drug Testing: Employment is contingent upon the results of a pre-employment drug examination.
Licenses and Certifications: Specified positions may require possession of a valid Nevada Class C driver's license at time of appointment.
