Supplemental Information

Successful candidates will work with CJA at either the Alternative Sentencing Department or Community Corrections Department to supervise clients as they complete court-ordered custody or alternative jail programs. Tasks in this role vary based upon assignment but can include supervision of clients in a halfway house or work release facility, supervision of off-site work crews, monitoring client living areas, monitoring and dispensing medication, and numerous other tasks. Work in either Department will involve directly working with the people under our supervision.

This is a divisional posting for the Community Justice Specialist position, which will be used to fill any current vacancies and create an eligibility list for future vacancies. The eligibility list will be utilized as positions within the Larimer County Community Corrections Department and the Larimer County Alternative Sentencing Department become available.

An offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of required pre-employment testing. Depending on the position, these checks may include, but are not limited to, reference checks, motor vehicle reports, employment verification, education verification, fingerprinting, criminal history information, physical, and drug screening. As marijuana is an illegal substance under federal law, testing positive for marijuana (medical or otherwise) or any other substance for which the county tests will result in the contingent offer of employment being revoked. Successful completion of the drug screen is defined as obtaining a negative result.
