Description
The JobArrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for
Emergency Room Technicians who perform a variety of patient care functions; assisting physicians, registered nurses and other health specialists with a variety of procedures and treatments, cardiac monitoring and electrocardiograms, splinting, collecting specimens, performing blood withdrawal and clerical tasks.

ARROWHEAD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER
Located on a beautiful 70-acre campus in Colton, California (50 miles east of Los Angeles), Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Additionally, ARMC operates five community-based, primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacently located California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM), the Inland Empire's newest medical school.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Shift Availability: Applicants must be available to work ALL SHIFTS (DAY, SWING, NIGHT, ROTATING, AND WEEKEND). Indicate shift availability on the application. You will not proceed further in the examination process if all shifts are not selected.
Certification: Completion of Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) training is required within six (6) months of hire as the work environment may involve exposure to assaultive and combative patients. Certifications must be maintained throughout employment.
License: Completion of a State of California Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT-1 or CPT-2) license with the Department of Public Health is required within six (6) months of hire.
Background Investigation: Applicants selected for these positions must successfully pass a background investigation which includes fingerprinting, verification of employment history and education.
Sponsorship: San Bernardino County is not able to consider candidates who will require visa sponsorship at the time of application or in the future.
Minimum RequirementsCandidates must have both of the following:
1) Certification/Licensure: - Current/valid Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-1) certification OR paramedic license issued by the State of California.
- Current/valid Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS).
-AND-2) Experience: Six (6) months of full-time experience as an Emergency Room Technician in an acute care hospital
OR as field personnel providing emergency medical services
OR as an EMT/Paramedic for a firefighting agency.
Desired QualificationsApplicants fluent in American Sign Language, Arabic, Korean, Mandarin, Spanish and/or Vietnamese are strongly encouraged to apply. Additional compensation is associated with positions requiring the use of bilingual skills. Testing of bilingual skills may be required to receive additional compensation.
