Deschutes County Behavioral Health (DCBH) is the Community Mental Health Program providing safety net and core clinical services for community members in Deschutes County dealing with mental health and substance use conditions. DCBH is also a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC). As such, DCBH relies on multi-disciplinary teams to provide innovative, evidence-based, recovery-oriented services in behavioral healthcare settings co-located with physical health providers.

ABOUT THE JOB:This position is responsible for providing full clinical and administrative supervision for the Intensive Forensic Services Team (IFS), a part of the larger Forensic and Acute Services Program. This team is tasked with promoting integration and collaboration between behavioral health and the criminal justice system in order to support intensive community treatment to improve the overall wellness of individuals with a serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI) who are concurrently involved with the criminal justice system. This position will be responsible for the oversight, development and direction of an interdisciplinary team, promoting and offering intensive behavioral health services related to screening, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of mental and substance use disorders for individuals involved with the criminal justice system.
Programs served by the IFS team include Aid and Assist, Psychiatric Security Review Board and Mental Health Court. Ideal candidates will demonstrate knowledge and experience reflecting a broad range of professional supervision skills, psychotherapeutic treatments, experience with the criminal justice system and behavioral health services as required by position. This position requires the application of specialized knowledge in the area of behavioral health supervision, diagnosis, interventions, recovery-focused, client-centered treatment, and the criminal justice system.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and lead an interdisciplinary behavioral health team that works with a diverse group of forensically involved clients.
- Oversee collaboration with the Courts, District Attorney's office, Jail and Local Law Enforcement.
- Plan and implement intervention programs.

- Community behavioral health and addictions concepts.
- Client assessment and case management.

- Apply theory in behavioral health and addictions diagnosis.

Compensation$7,113.14 to $9,532.28 per month for a 172.67 hour work month. Salary normally starts at the first step. Excellent County benefit package when eligible.

Minimum Qualifications- Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related behavioral science field;
- AND three (3) years of related experience in the behavioral health field, including lead or supervisory experience;
- OR any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills and knowledge to perform the essential functions of the job.
Must possess current licensure without restrictions from a recognized governing board in Oregon as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marital and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
Preference will be given for: - Previous supervisory experience.
- Experience coordinating with the Criminal Justice System.
Necessary Special RequirementsDriving is a requirement for this position. Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Oregon driver's license within 30 days of hire date. The employment offer will be contingent upon presentation of an acceptable and verifiable driver's license, pre-employment screening for criminal history, driving history, and controlled substances (NOTE: Positive test results for marijuana use may result in rescission of a contingent offer of employment). This screening must be completed with satisfactory findings in order for a formal offer of employment to be extended.
Must meet provider Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) credentialing requirements as required by Oregon Administrative Rules ( OARs ) 309-019-0125 (8).
For positions in the Health Services Department, depending on area of assignment, incumbent must be eligible to be credentialed as a Clinical Supervisor for assigned service area in accordance with Oregon Administrative Rules.
Depending on area of assignment, business needs and regulatory requirements, may also be required to obtain additional certifications.
Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule to meet client and department needs.
Must have dependable transportation and be willing and able to drive throughout Deschutes County in sometimes adverse weather conditions.
Physical Requirements. Requires sufficient ambulatory ability to drive throughout Deschutes County and to provide face-to-face services in a variety of settings in the community, including but not limited to hospitals, jails, clinics, client homes, and community and residential settings within required response times. Must have the ability to work in an office that is environmentally controlled; possess sufficient hand coordination to perform keyboarding and data entry; arm/hand movements to retrieve work materials and operate a variety of general office equipment; and an ability to sit, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, reach, stand, grasp, talk, hear, see, and lift up to 10 pounds on an occasional basis.
