Description
Salary up to $90,000 annually Position expires: 11/19/24 Seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to lead and coordinate cross-functional and multi-dimensional projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of project management methodologies and systems, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to collaborate across departments. Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate with senior leadership on complex, cross-functional projects will be highly valued. This role requires excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, as well as a keen eye for detail.

- Team Leadership and Collaboration on Special Projects:
- Lead cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and effective communication among team members.
- Motivate and inspire team members to achieve project objectives.
- Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop comprehensive project plans for diverse projects, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk assessments.
- Track project milestones and deliverables to maintain project momentum.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and efficient project execution.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including city departments, community organizations, and elected officials.
- Lead the communication with internal and external project team members.
- Budget Management:
- Develop and manage project budgets when necessary, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources.
- Monitor budget expenditures and revenues including identifying potential cost-saving measures.
- Prepare accurate financial reports and forecasts.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Collect, analyze, and interpret project data to identify trends and insights.
- Generate clear and concise reports to inform decision-making and measure project performance.
- Utilize data analytics tools to optimize project efficiency and effectiveness
- System Implementation:
- Implement and maintain project management systems and tools to track progress and manage resources effectively.
- Train team members on the use of project management software and best practices.
- Presentation and Communication
- Develop compelling presentations to communicate project status, key findings, and strategic recommendations to senior management.
- Deliver clear and concise presentations, tailoring the message to the audience's needs.
- Effectively communicate project information through various channels, including written reports, emails, and meetings.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- A commitment to confidentiality, ethics, and flexibility in working hours is essential.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint...)
- Proven track record in utilizing project management software (MS Project, Trello, Jira, Monday.com...)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Experience with budget management and data analysis.
- Familiarity with government regulations and procurement processes.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
Required - Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, public administration, management or relevant fields
- Five years of full-time experience acquired within the last fifteen years with two years of managerial or executive experience
- Familiarity with local government operations and policies
Preferred PMP certification preferred
