Pay Range: $89,164 - 115,914 annual compensation
Job Posting Closing on: Thursday, November 14, 2024 Workdays & Hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday- Friday, with occasional weekend and evening assignments.

A Sr. Business Process Analyst position is available with City of Fort Worth Water Department’s Management Services Division. Candidate will play a critical role in integrating various data sources for the Water Department. This position involves modeling data to create effective visualizations that support business processes and strategic decision making. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of data and data modeling. In addition, interpret data in order to develop fact tables, dimensions, and measures. The candidate will use their analytical skills to identify trends and patterns in data, and provide insights and recommendations to help the organization make informed decisions. The candidate will also be responsible for developing and implementing data-driven strategies to improve business operations and interpreting data.
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Computer Science, Data Science and Business Analytics, Information Management System, or related field
- Five (5) or more years of experience developing content with business intelligence tools, data warehousing, DBMS (Database Management Systems), BI Tools (Looker, PowerBI), and business analysis experience.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with data modeling and data warehousing
- Experience developing data models (fact tables, dimensions, and measures) to produce visualizations - dashboards
- Experience with content creation within the Google Looker platform or Microsoft PowerBI
- Experience with database management systems (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database, MySQL)
- Experience supporting database environments within a local government/water utility
- Experience writing queries with various query tools (TSQL, PLSQL)
- Knowledge of project management aspects
The Sr. Business Process Analyst job responsibilities include: - Build fact tables, dimensions, and measures in order to produce BI visualizations
- Interpret and analyze data to build data models that assist in strategic decision making
- Design and publish reports/dashboards - graphs, charts, etc….
- Administer data visualization environment for data accuracy, consistency and timeliness
- Develop and conduct training on visualization tools and data analysis methods
- Conduct and participate in requirements gathering and needs assessments. Evaluate requirements, generate project plan, and deliver agreed upon product
- Coordinate product delivery from system testing through user acceptance
- Research, analyze and evaluate new information technology methods and techniques
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, using industry standard project management tools
- Assist in providing support to Water Department employees in preparation of business cases
- Perform other related duties as required
- Adhere to assigned work schedule as outlined in the Department and City attendance policies and procedures; ensure all behaviors comply with the City’s Personnel Rules and Regulations
