Job Summary Performs above-average physical and semi-skilled work locating and marking underground utility lines. Responsible for identifying and marking with paint, flags, permanent utility markers, and electronic marker system (EMS) ball markers to identify sewer force mains, reclaimed water lines, gravity service, and service connections. Locations must meet Chapter 556 F.S. to prevent possible damage from excavating and construction agencies. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Wastewater Systems Evaluation and Maintenance Supervisor. Work is reviewed while in progress and upon completion through direct observation and meetings. Work is performed outdoors under extreme weather conditions, with noxious fumes, chemicals, insects, excessive noise, raw sewage, and garbage. May be required to work weekends and holidays. During periods when the Mayor issues an emergency declaration for the City of Orlando, all employees may be required to work in preparation, response, or recovery activities related to the stated emergency. Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate and two (2) years experience in public works such as construction, maintenance, and/or repair of manholes, force-mains, or sanitary sewer collection systems, including using tools and equipment used in construction, maintenance, and repair work; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Valid Florida Driver's License required. Wastewater Collection System Operator C and GOAA Secure Area Access I.D. badge required within ninety (90) days of hire.

If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:
- Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
- Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
- Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
- Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
Salary:
USD 20.29 - 25.87 per hour
