Financial Analyst, Sr. (Grants Accounting)

Job Expires: Open Until Filled Salary Range: $54,525.35 - $72,682.62 General Description The Grants Accounting division is responsible for grants related finance and accounting, reporting and audit functions for the City of Atlanta’s Controller’s office. This office is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to perform post-award financial and accounting processes for grants, reporting and all activities involved with the Single Audit. This includes budget monitoring, accounting transactions and reconciliations, draws and accounts receivable, and working with various type of grants. Enforce policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal guidelines (2 CFR Part 200), federal agency guidance and the supplemental guidelines. Establishing a working collaborative relationship with the various departments and agencies will be required to be successful in this job.
Minimum Qualifications - Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field (Equivalent professional experience may be considered for substitution for the required degree on an exception basis) Five years' of specific professional experience. May have some project management or leadership experience.
Preferred Education & Experience Master's degree in finance, accounting or related field (Equivalent professional experience may be considered for substitution for the master's degree on an exception basis) with 5 years' of financial experience.
Ability to analyze financial data and reconcile accounts.
Advanced skill in the use of computers in accounting spreadsheet applications.
Advanced level skills in Excel.
