Responsibilities The Senior Director of Advancement Services is responsible for leading and managing a comprehensive support unit dedicated to providing essential business analysis, data management, and reporting services that drive the university’s fundraising and engagement efforts. The incumbent oversees the integrity and efficiency of information systems, ensures adherence to compliance and regulatory standards, and develops long-term strategic plans to optimize data-driven operations.
- Ensures high-quality transaction management, system security, and data accuracy while fostering a customer-service-oriented environment.
- By collaborating with Information Technology and campus leadership, enhances database infrastructure, maintains effective gift and pledge processing procedures, and develops analytics and reporting models that inform decision-making and support institutional objectives.
- Provides operational leadership, strategic planning, database and systems management, gift processing oversight, and the provision of business intelligence to guide university advancement strategies.
- As a leader that manages a team of seven staff members, this position must demonstrate a commitment to student success that is mission aligned with the university’s vision, values and priorities. Establishes an ethical and collegial work environment, promoting a collaborative, accountable and inclusive team. Encourages a courageous and resilient solution-oriented environment by participating in new opportunities to further the mission of the university. Qualifications - Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a Bachelor's degree in a job-related field.
- Equivalent to five years of progressively responsible professional/administrative experience; with two of the five years in a managerial role preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Leadership - Proficient in data governance frameworks, database management systems, and reporting tools. Ability to analyze complex data sets to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement. Capable of developing strategic analytic models and dashboards to inform leadership and support data-driven decision-making.
- Expertise in strategic planning processes, operational protocols, and performance metrics. Strong analytical skills to evaluate operational efficiency and effectiveness of services.
- Insight into stakeholder management, donor relations, and the importance of customer service in the higher education sector. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective engagement with diverse stakeholders, including faculty, donors, and IT staff. Adept at serving as a liaison between departments, facilitating collaboration, and ensuring alignment of goals across the organization.
- Lead diverse teams to support the operational mission and vision of employers by fostering an ethical, inclusive and collegial work environment.
- Demonstrated ability to support ongoing improvement through courageous, resilient, and catalytic leadership.
- Lead varying initiatives through a collaborative, service-oriented and communicative approach.

Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule - Salary is commensurate with knowledge, skills, and experience. The University offers excellent fringe benefits.
- The anticipated HIRING RANGE: $125,000- $135,000 per year, dependent upon qualifications and experience.
- The position is currently hybrid (2 days in office, 3 days remote); however, this is subject to change based on student and/or operational needs.
