FTC PRN Social Worker
Description
PRN SOCIAL WORKER/CLINICAL CASE WORKERSt. Louis Forensic Treatment Center - South provides specialized care for clients diagnosed with mental illness in a long-term, inpatient hospital setting with forensic involvement. St. Louis Forensic Treatment Center - North provides specialized care for clients who are receiving competency restoration and evaluation services in a more acute, inpatient hospital setting by court order. Both settings are secured at a minimum security level. The role of the PRN Social Worker / Caseworker would be to ensure that social work coverage and support is being provided in supplementation of vacancies, leave, overflow duties (assisting other social worker in completing tasks), etc. The PRN role would be assisting the social work department in completing task or any of combination of the duties below:
Responsibilities:• Conduct comprehensive Social Service Assessments (Initial and/or Annual)• Complete admission and discharge paperwork• Provide individual and/or group treatment and complete corresponding documentation• Create Individual Treatment/Rehabilitation Plans (ITRP) and Treatment Reviews and modify/update on a routine basis• Write monthly/weekly summary progress notes for clients• Offer case management to assigned clients• Conduct suicide risk and other risk assessments as needed• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team on a routine basis• Participate in discharge and legal processes (e.g. guardianship, conditional release applications) as necessary• Disseminate pertinent information to vested departments within and outside the facility • Other duties as assigned (assignments will vary based on need and location)
Eligibility:•Must have prior experience providing care for clients diagnosed with mental illness, substance use disorders, and/or intellectual developmental disorders
•Must be willing to work up to 19 hours a week, no more than 1039 annually, as needed
•Demonstrate flexibility in changing assignments between programs and treatment teams, as coordinated by Social Work leadership
•Working knowledge of the DSM, evidence-based practices, and social work ethics are strongly encouraged
•Degree or License in Social Work (BSW, MSW, LBSW, LMSW or LCSW) preferred, but will consider candidates who meet the minimum qualifications
•Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.
•Provisionally and fully credentialed candidates must be professionally licensed in Missouri.
