Description
OverviewWe are looking for a full-time Facilities Services Worker!
This position performs building support services work involving the care, maintenance, and cleaning of assigned County buildings and related facilities.
You will provide basic janitorial duties, recycling, landscaping, grounds maintenance, snow removal, meeting, and event setup and tear down, minor maintenance and repair, quality inspections on outside vendors, building security, and customer service.
ResponsibilitiesSpecifically, this position:
- Plans and participates in the cleaning of County buildings and facilities
- Proactively takes preventative measures for safety and repair.
- Vacuums and shampoos or spot-clean carpets
- Washes windows and walls; empties and cleans trash receptacles; empties large collecting trash bin as needed
- Pushes large mobile utility trash bin to proper areas
- Cleans restrooms and related facilities; maintains supplies in restrooms
- Moves and arranges furniture and equipment and setups rooms for special meetings or events
- Maintains proper standards of cleanliness in assigned areas
- Operates and maintains equipment used in the performance of assigned tasks
- Collects and organizes recycling

- Use routine software and business applications including, but not limited to, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, and databases.
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
- Read and comprehend department and County rules, regulations, policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other County employees, representatives of other agencies and organizations, and members of the community.
- Regular, predictable attendance.
- Perform routine janitorial work.
- Understand and carry out both oral and written instructions.
QualificationsAll candidates will be screened for the following required minimum qualifications. Any candidate who does not meet all of the qualifications listed as required will be eliminated from the process.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Two (2) years of experience in a directly related field or in the performance of similar duties and responsibilities required.
- Possession of a valid Driver's License by date of hire required.

Supplemental InformationThe typical schedule for this position is 7:00 AM - 4:00PM Monday to Friday.
