Description

South Adams County Water & Sanitationis dedicated to providing reliable, affordable, and sustainable water resources and services in order to protect public health, the environment, and quality of life.We are looking for a supervisor to lead GIS.

The GIS Supervisor will:

• Leads and oversees the GIS Department
• Provides guidance and mentorship to GIS Technician
• Evaluates, develops, maintains and continually improves the GIS systems
• Provides engineering support work in the collection and entry of data gathered from the field
• Conducts data analysis, modeling, programing
• Collaborates with Asset Management and Development Review personnel to ensure GIS accuracy and project completion
• Project Management

Qualified candidates should have:

• Bachelor’s degree in GIS or related field OR equivalent combination of education/experience
• Minimum 5 years experience with ArcGIS, AutoCAD, ESRI, GPS field data collection and asset management programs.
• Understanding of SQL, Visual Basic Applications, Python, Model Builder and Scripts.
• Experience with Access database design and reporting with integration into ArcGIS as well as experience maintaining and manipulating geodatabases, coverages and shape values.
• GIS programming is strongly preferred.
• Leadership/supervisory experience
• Solid problem solving and communication skills.
• Solid experience with researching, collecting and analyzing data.
• Municipal or Water/Sewer District experience a plus.

This position may require work in the field in a variety of locations, terrains and conditions within the District.

Successful candidate will be required to complete a drug screen and background check prior to employment.

The District offers a salary commensurate with qualifications:

Salary Range $82,140 - $120,000/annualized
