The Job

Performance Education & Resource Centers (PERC) is recruiting for an eLearning Developer who will create, manage, and deliver online education in various media formats. eLearning Developers provide advanced level online content creation utilizing various curricula-building computer software applications. They serve as expert advisors to a wide variety of customers, providing the ultimate customer service experience in delivering state-of-the-art learning experiences leveraging Adult Learning Theories.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Pre-employment Process: Applicants must pass a background check, including fingerprinting, credit check, medical exam/drug test, and verification of employment history prior to appointment.

Travel: Travel throughout the County may be required. Employees will be required to make provisions for transportation. Mileage reimbursement is available. A valid California Class C driver license and proof of automobile liability insurance must be produced and maintained for the individual providing the transportation.

Minimum Requirements

Education: Thirty (30) semester (45 quarter) units of completed college coursework in English, education, business/public administration, communication, organizational development, computer science, information technology, natural science, social/behavioral science, or related field of study. A copy of legible transcripts MUST be attached to the application if the applicant does not possess a completed associate's degree or higher in one of the qualifying fields of study listed above.


Note: Qualifying degree or coursework must have been completed at a college or university accredited by an accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education. Degrees or coursework completed outside the U.S. must be accompanied by an evaluation report from a reputable credential evaluation service showing equivalency to degrees or coursework completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education.

--AND--

Experience: One (1) year of full-time experience using instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles, and education technology tools to develop and deliver professional training experiences. Experience must include performing complex needs assessments, including obtaining and organizing information from relevant materials, subject matter experts, and other resources to design and develop effective, engaging, and interactive e-Learnings as part of primary duties. Must clearly indicate experience leveraging e-Learning authoring and multi-media development tools/programs.

Desired Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess experience developing eLearnings for an adult workforce and deploying learning strategies to address learning and development needs in a diverse organization. An established eLearning portfolio is highly desired, including experience in Articulate 360 systems.
