Job Summary Salary: $29.73 - 37.90 (Hourly) Performs skilled work in the installation, rehabilitation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of various low voltage electrical (under 600V) equipment to include motor control centers, motor controllers, power distribution equipment, machinery, power appliances, or other electrical components and electronic devices and equipment, such as variable frequency drives (VFD), solid state reduced voltage starters, transformers, relays and relay logic, industrial communications equipment and systems, process control instrumentation, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), remote telemetry units (RTUs), and other related electrical and electronic equipment within wastewater facilities. Serves as a technical advisor for industrial automation and electrical systems design and alterations. Tests faulty equipment and applies knowledge of electrical or electronic theory and practice to diagnose cause. Replaces defective components and tests, aligns, and calibrates equipment to specifications. Work is performed under general supervision and is subject to review while in progress. Some positions may require work rotating stand-by shifts.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's Degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent electronics technical school with five (5) years of industrial electrical/instrumentation experience in installation and maintenance; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Florida Journeyman Electrician License required. Valid Florida Class E Driver's License required. Home phone or cell phone required. Based on work area of assignment, some positions may require employees to (1) obtain and maintain a security clearance and GOAA ID badge within ninety (90) days of hire date and (2) pass an annual respirator physical; no facial hair allowed between the face and sealing surface of the respirator face plate. Florida Master Electrician License preferred.

If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:
- Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
- Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
- Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
- Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
