Are you ready to take your skills outdoors and make a visible difference in the community every day? The Town of Prescott Valley is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Stormwater Technician to join our Public Works team. In this hands-on role, you'll help construct, maintain, and repair the streets, drainageways, culverts, ditches, rights-of-way, and other public infrastructure that keep our community safe and moving.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working as part of a team, operating tools and equipment, solving problems in the field, and taking pride in seeing the results of their work throughout the community.

Examples of Duties

In this position you will:

• Perform manual labor outdoors in varying weather conditions and on uneven terrain
• Follow safety procedures, traffic-control requirements
• Respond to storm events, flooding, Snow removal,roadway hazards, and other emergencies, including after-hours and on-call assignments.

Typical Qualification

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or equivalent required with a minimum of one (1) year of entry-level construction experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must complete 10 Hour OSHA Certification by timeframe designated by the Town.
• Must be able to obtain Basic Flaggers Certification by timeframe designated by the Town.
• Must obtain a CDL by timeframe designated by the Town.
• Must obtain/maintain Level 1 Stormwater Management Certification, ATSSA Work Zone Traffic Control Tech Certification by timeframe designated by the Town.

COMPENSATION:

The Town's complete compensation package includes salary, benefits, and a high-performance culture. The Town package includes a health, dental, and vision insurance plan, participation in the state retirement system, optional 457 deferred compensation with a town match up to 6%, vacation, holidays, and additional comprehensive benefits.

The expected hiring range is $22.38 - $23.48

The full hourly range is $22.38-$33.56
