Police Officer
The City of Yukon is looking for qualified individuals to become a part of the Yukon Police Department family. General description of position: Performs police patrol, investigations, traffic regulation and related law enforcement activities. Protects life and property of the citizens of the community, following the mission and values of the department.
Salary: $63,058.00 Annually
Location: Yukon, OK
Essential duties and responsibilities include: Patrol of area, answering calls for service, investigation of criminal acts, operation of a computer terminal, operation of electronic devices, communication via mobile radio, effect arrest of violators, investigation of traffic collisions, carry out duties of the department, serve on special units, interview victims and suspects, attend training, and perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
Experience and education requirements include: Between the ages of 21 and 45, unless currently active in Oklahoma Police Pension and Retirement System, high school diploma or GED required, no felony or domestic violence convictions, valid driver's license with clean driving record, must pass physical agility test, written exam, oral interview, polygraph and extensive background investigation, must pass Police Pension board physical and pre-employment drug screening including psychological exam.
Compensation and benefits include: Salary ranging from $63,058 to $108,352, retirement through Oklahoma Police Pension and Retirement System, insurance including health and dental, sick leave and personal time off, take home vehicle for eligible officers, longevity, retention incentive, college degree incentive, college tuition reimbursement, firearms qualification incentive, CLEET intermediate/advanced incentive, foreign language and/or sign language incentive, holiday worked pay, uniforms and equipment provided, municipal and district court pay, overtime and call back pay, shift differential pay, specialized unit incentive, and more.
