Administrative Support For General Session Court
Responsible for providing administrative support to General Session Court and customer service to officers, the District Attorney's Office, and attorneys.
***PLEASE NOTE: PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO CANDIDATES WITH PRIOR LAW ENFORCEMENT EXPERIENCE, INCLUDING DIRECT FAMILIARITY WITH MONTGOMERY COUNTY GENERAL SESSIONS COURT PROCEDURES, ISSUING SUBPOENAS, CLARKSVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT COURT ROSTERS, AND COORDINATING CLOSELY WITH THE MONTGOMERY COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY'S OFFICE TO ENSURE POLICE OFFICERS ARE PRESENT FOR GENERAL SESSIONS COURT.***
Example Of Duties
Essential Functions:
- Provides routine customer service for officers in General Sessions Court.
- Maintains records on officers scheduled court appearances.
- Issues subpoenas for witnesses and victims.
- Performs other work as required.
Typical Qualifications
Minimum Education And Training:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- No experience required.
License and Certifications:
- None.
Supplemental Information
Minimum Qualifications And Standards Required:
Knowledge of:
- Criminal Justice System
Skill in:
- Operating standard office equipment
- Maintaining records and files
- Using computers and related software applications
- Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with supervisor, officers, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
