Summary
Solumina Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Specializing in transitioning from G-Series (G7/G8) to iSeries (cloud-native) with responsibility for upgrading, configuring, and optimizing iBase-t's Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the functional migration from Solumina G-Series to iSeries, reducing custom code in favor of standard, configurable features.
- Configure and deploy iSeries workflows for manufacturing, quality (EQMS), and MRO, utilizing pre-configured functionality.
- Analyze existing G-Series workflows, perform gap analysis, and redesign processes for the modernized iSeries interface.
- Architect and support integrations between Solumina iSeries and ERP/PLM systems.
- Train users on the new iSeries interface and provide technical support to ensure smooth transition.
- Ensure data integrity during the migration from legacy databases.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong experience with iBase-t Solumina MES (G-series and iSeries).
- Proficiency in SQL and database management.
- Deep understanding of Aerospace & Defense manufacturing.
- Knowledge of web technologies, REST APIs, and cloud architecture (as iSeries is cloud-native).
- Ability to translate complex manufacturing processes into system requirements.
- Bachelor's degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with minimum 5 years of experience.
Key Differences to Manage (G-Series to iSeries)
- Moving from heavy customizations (G-Series) to out-of-the-box configuration (iSeries).
- Transitioning from older UI to modern web-based, user-friendly interfaces (e.g., i120 Shop Floor Trainer).
- Adopting a SaaS, cloud-native deployment model.
