Overview Apogee has an exciting new opportunity for an International Treaties and Agreements SME to support Headquarters United States Air Force (HAF/A10) in providing Strategic Deterrence and Nuclear Integration. This effort delivers technical, analytical, operational, programmatic, and planning subject-matter expertise to HAF/A10 and its component divisions to advance national security strategic plans, policies, concepts, and initiatives. Support areas include international treaties and agreements, the Foreign Clearance Program, Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction, nuclear stockpile and enterprise management, missile defense, nuclear deterrence research and education, strategic policy, ancillary IT support, and program management.This is a full-time position, located on-site at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.This position is contingent upon contract award.Responsibilities Serve as on-site Treaty SME and primary Government point of contact for treaty- and agreement-related mattersProvide overall guidance on Air Force requirements for government-identified treaties and agreementsMonitor all Air Force activities for treaty applicability and field policy and compliance questionsSupport HAF/A10 International Treaties and Agreements with historical background, current and future treaty implications, and professional opinionsDraft written recommendations representing Air Force positions on treaty-related policy and documentationDeliver professional briefings of recommendations to audiences from Air Force senior leaders to base TCOsRespond promptly to Government questions, concerns, and commentsProactively alert the Government to potential treaty issues and recommend mitigation actionsQualifications Minimum Experience:Citizenship: Must be a US citizenClearance: Must have and be able to maintain TS/SCI level clearanceEducation: Bachelor's degreeYears of Experience: Twenty-five (25) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline, including fifteen (15) years of DoD experienceAdditional ExperienceKnowledge and understanding of specific treaties/agreementsExperience with implementation and compliance activitiesKnowledge of Air Staff, JS, and OSD organizationFamiliarity with current policy issuesKnowledge of ACES or similar treaty-reporting databasesExperience working in complex environmentsExperience with international arms treaties, includingNew Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (NST)Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC)Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT)Preferred Qualifications Education: Master's degreeYears of Experience: Twenty (20) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline, including twelve (12) years of DoD experienceAdditional InformationLocation: Located at the Pentagon in Arlington, VAOn-site: This is a full-time on-site positionThis position is contingent upon contract award.#J-18808-Ljbffr
