LME, VA, is seeking a part-time monitor for rotating shifts to maintain a safe and secure environment for employees and customers. Salary: $26.20/hour - part-time - 24 hrs/wk - may include weekends

Responsibilities include:

  • Front desk and reception area including answering phone
  • Escort within facility
  • Alarm monitor for 24/7 surveillance
  • Operates a security control center by monitoring surveillance, access control, fire alarm, and HVAC systems
  • Monitors access points and equipment
  • Notifies appropriate personnel during events affecting the facility
  • Makes detailed reports of incidents, violations, suspicious circumstances, and unsatisfactory conditions
  • Keeps current on information affecting security operations by reading the standard operating procedures, reports, security policies, memorandums, and emails to stay informed

Required Skills include:

  • Current Secret security clearance
  • Must be able to work all shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to work independently with little supervision
  • Must be able to sit and walk for long periods of time and withstand any weather conditions
  • Knowledgeable in First Aid, CPR, and AED
  • Must be able to lift or move up to 30 pounds

Required Education includes:

  • High School Diploma
  • 1-2 years of experience in security, military, or law enforcement
