Summary

OverviewApogee has an exciting new opportunity for an Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) SME to support Headquarters United States Air Force (HAF/A10) in providing strategic deterrence and nuclear integration. This effort delivers technical, analytical, operational, programmatic, and planning subject‑matter expertise to HAF/A10 and its component divisions to advance national security strategies, policies, concepts, and initiatives. Support areas include international treaties and agreements, the Foreign Clearance Program, Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction, nuclear stockpile and enterprise management, missile defense, nuclear deterrence research and education, strategic policy, ancillary IT support, and program management. This is a full‑time position located on‑site at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA. This position is contingent upon contract award.ResponsibilitiesServe as subject‑matter expert on IAMD policy at the National, DoD, Joint, and Service levels and coordinate with DoD and non‑DoD offices and organizations involved in IAMD.Coordinate with USAF, U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, and coalition partners on IAMD activities and interoperability issues.Assess current and emerging IAMD systems and capabilities across USAF, USA, U.S. Navy, and coalition forces.Assist HAF/A3OY in drafting, reviewing, and analyzing IAMD policy positions and guidance.Support DoD and USAF international engagement strategies related to IAMD planning and cooperation.Analyze performance of Air Force IAMD elements and provide recommendations to senior leaders on organizing, training, and equipping the Air Force for IAMD.Advise on Air Force policy and strategy required to conduct and support IAMD operations and implementation.Support management of IAMD program elements (PEs), including transfer of PEs from developers (e.g., MDA) to the Air Force and oversight of transition activities.QualificationsCitizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen.Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain TS/SCI level clearance.Education: Bachelor's degree.Years of Experience: Twenty‑five (25) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline, including fifteen (15) years of DoD experience.Additional ExperienceSubject‑matter expertise on current IAMD strategy, policy, doctrine, technologies, and operational challenges.Experience using, analyzing, and interpreting IAMD exercises, studies, and models/simulations.Experience generating briefings; drafting information, point, white, and decision papers.Ability to plan and lead meetings for diverse IAMD experts.Working knowledge of SPPBE process and programming databases.Ability to support technology transition from developmental to operational status.Experience generating staff packages in standard AF format.Preferred QualificationsEducation: Master's degree.Years of Experience: Twenty (20) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline, including twelve (12) years of DoD experience.Additional InformationLocation: Pentagon, Arlington, VA.On‑site: Full‑time on‑site position.Position contingent upon contract award.#J-18808-Ljbffr
